Behold, my menagerie of beloved beasts. (I’m not all bad. I have some good traits: I love animals, as you can see.) I keep 6 animals in each cage. It cuts down on cleaning.

Press play to hear the animals inside: they always call out in the same order. Write out the first letters of the names of the animals in any cage to get a 6-letter string. Arrange the 3 cages just right and those strings run together to spell out the name of a song we love. One consonant is missing from the title: that letter will help you eliminate suspects.

I keep things pretty orderly, so you don’t need to re-arrange the animals within any cage, just determine which cage is first, second, and third.

And if your message isn’t making sense, don’t always blame your ears: remember that some animals go by more than one name.
